What language does the staff speak? Will I have trouble in communication?
English is widely spoken in India and Tamilnadu. It is one of the official languages. In case you need help in your own language, you will be arranged an interpreter.

What kind of meals do I get?
The hospital has a Nutritionist led cafeteria, thus the meals are well balanced and designed according to your condition and general health. We are happy to provide also international cuisine when required.

What is the temperature like in India? 
Chennai is located at the Bay of Bengal, the state of Andhra Pradesh bordering from northwest, and the states of Kerala and Karnataka on its western side. Being situated at the tropical zone, Chennai has a hot and humid climate. The hottest months are from May to July with maximum temperatures 38-42 °C (100-107 °F), and the coolest period is from December to January, with minimum temperatures 18-20 °C (64-68 °F).

When will I meet my doctor? 
Depending on your arrival, you will meet your doctor either on the same day you come, or the next day, as soon as it is convenient for you.

What facilities does the hospital have in place specifically for the international patients? 
We have Deluxe-rooms for international customers. The room is a cosy air-conditioned suite with sofa & chairs & additional bed for the accompanying person, free High Speed Internet, TV with DVD Player, attached wash room, a small separate kitchen, room food service, laundry service etc.

An International Patient Hostess will take care of the wellbeing of the customer; organize an interpreter, transport to and from the airport, set the appointments and schedules, introduce travelling options etc.

The hospital management reviews every concern raised by patients, doctors, administrators or the medical staff and responds accordingly.

What is the time period for the entire process of getting my appointment once you’ve received my medical records?
After receiving the medical records, the team of specialists in the hospital will review the case and suggest the treatment scheme. We are very flexible and can proceed very fast, so there should not be any significant waiting time.

Is there any charge for the services provided by the international help desk?
There is no extra charge for the services provided by the international relations desk. The International Patient Hostess will take care of the customer regarding any questions or problems that may arise.

Can your office write a letter for us, so that we can apply for a visa?
We help in all aspects possible for us regarding the process of applying visa.

I would like to bring someone, can you arrange for their accommodation?
In Deluxe-rooms there is an extra bed for the accompanying person. There is also a wide range of hotels close to the hospital.

What shall I bring with me?
Please do take all your medical records, results of the examinations and CD:s containing the X-rays, CT:s and MRI:s concerning your medical status. Also, please bring a list of all medications and herbal remedies you are currently taking.

Once I am medically accepted and financially cleared, what next?
Once the doctor has met you and has the medical records and examinations needed for planning the proper procedure for you, we can immediately start to prepare your treatment, operation or medication. We take care that your hospital stay will be kept as short as possible.

Can you help book further travel, recuperation or tourist plans?
We operate together with the local travel agencies and can refer the patient to special recuperation facility, to receive Ayuerveda treatment or some other preferred after-treatment method to improve the healing.
We will assist in contacting travel agencies to arrange any kind of tourist activities and trips in Chennai, Tamilnadu or other parts of India for you to experience the Incredible India.

health record is created any time you see a health professional such as a doctor, nurse, dentist, chiropractor, or psychiatrist. You could find the following in your health record:

Can my personal health information be used and disclosed without any notice to me or without my informed consent at the time of treatment

Yes.

The Amended HIPAA Privacy Rule states only that you must receive a Privacy Notice telling you how your personal health information will be used and disclosed. Section 164.520(c) (2) (i) (A).
Privacy Notices are often mistaken for consent forms, but they are simply notices telling you what will happen to your medical records.
