Your Health is Not a Waiting Game: Why Timely Care Matters
A common yet concerning trend in healthcare is the normalization of chronic discomfort. From a subtle abdominal swelling and persistent sinus blockages to joint pain on the stairs or urinary leakage after childbirth, many individuals endure months or even years of silent suffering. Often assuming these issues are just “part of aging” or “something to live with,” patients frequently delay medical intervention until their daily routines are severely disrupted.


PICU Team Successfully Conducted the 4th National Pediatric Acute Care Nephrology Workshop

The PICU team successfully conducted the 4th National Pediatric Acute Care Nephrology Masterclass from 3 to 5 April 2026. The workshop was a grand success, with 100 delegates participating from across the country and 40 national faculty members contributing to the academic sessions. The program served as an excellent platform for knowledge sharing, clinical discussions, and advancements in the field of pediatric acute care nephrology.
As part of the event, the 4th edition of the PAC Nephro Masterclass also featured a book release ceremony, further enriching the academic value of the workshop and marking a significant milestone in knowledge sharing in the field of pediatric acute care nephrology.

The institution also received recognition by winning second prize in the poster competition held during the conference, reflecting the team’s commitment to innovation and excellence in healthcare management and hospital operations.

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Achievements at State-Level Conferences

Dr. Ruchita won the first prize for paper presentation at Thalir Yuva OGSSICON 2025, held on 14 December 2025, for the presentation titled “From Myomectomy to Motherhood: Assessing Obstetric and Perinatal Outcomes.” The presentation was guided by Dr. Nandita A. Thakkar, consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. R. Premalatha, Head of the department, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
At the 42nd Annual OGSSICON Conference 2026, held at Hyatt Regency Chennai from 24 to 26 April 2026, Dr. Ruchita received the Dr. T. Radhabai Prabhu Mrs. Rajarathinam Memorial Gold Medal for Best Paper Presentation (First Prize) for the study titled “Successful Perinatal Outcomes in Pregnancy with Renal Disorders: A Case Series from a Tertiary Care Centre.” The study was guided by Dr. Edwin Fernando M., Dr. Nandita A. Thakkar, consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. R. Premalatha, Head of the department, Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Ruchita also received the OGSSI Gold Medal for Best Presentation at the Clinical Society Meeting for the presentation titled “A Case of AV Malformation in Pregnancy.”
