MIS-HERNIA: Masterclass 2025 | Live Surgical Workshop with Medtronic India on 05 July 2025 at Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals
“Mesh it up, stitch it down, and keep the tension low (literally).”
Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals proudly hosted the first-ever Minimally Invasive Hernia Workshop at our facility. This milestone event was led by Dr.Nabeel Nazeer, Course Faculty and In-Charge, Department of Minimal Access & General Surgery.
In collaboration with Medtronic India, the workshop featured live demonstrations of five complex hernia procedures, including:
1. High-risk inguinoscrotal hernia
2. Irreducible paraumbilical hernia
3. TARM (Transabdominal Retromuscular) repair
4. Plication of recti
5. Laparoscopic IPOM-Plus repair
The session offered an exceptional opportunity for hands-on learning, clinical discussion, and exposure to advanced laparoscopic techniques in hernia surgery.
This academic initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to surgical excellence and innovation in patient care. We extend our gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and our partners at Medtronic India for making this workshop a resounding success.
We look forward to continuing to raise the bar in minimally invasive surgery, one mesh at a time.
