Dr. Deepika Arun Prasad

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

Dr. Deepika G Kaladharan is a highly specialised Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatology specialist at Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals, Chennai, with a rare dual fellowship profile, a Fellowship in Perinatal Medicine (Neonatology) and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care. This combination makes her uniquely equipped to care for patients at both ends of the most critical spectrum in paediatric medicine, from premature newborns in the NICU to seriously ill children in the PICU. Very few specialists in Chennai hold fellowship-level training across both neonatology and paediatric intensive care simultaneously.

Her Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Intensive Care represents the highest level of subspecialty training in critical care medicine for children, while her Fellowship in Perinatal Medicine reflects advanced, dedicated training in the care of high-risk pregnancies, preterm deliveries, and critically ill newborns. Together, these qualifications mean Dr. Deepika can seamlessly manage a baby from the moment of a high-risk delivery through the NICU and, if needed, into the PICU, providing continuity of expert care through the most vulnerable phases of a child’s life.

Available from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Saturday at Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals, Dr. Deepika G Kaladharan is consistently accessible for both NICU and PICU consultations. Families of critically ill newborns and children can trust her dual fellowship expertise and compassionate approach to deliver the highest standard of intensive and neonatal care.
