The Health We Postpone Is Often the Health We Need Most
In the relentless rush of deadlines and daily responsibilities, our own health is frequently the first casualty. We convince ourselves that we will address that persistent lower back ache when our schedule clears, look into that chronic nasal congestion next month, or investigate that recurring abdominal discomfort “later.”

Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals was recognized among the leading multispecialty hospitals in the Times Critical Care Rankings 2026, reflecting the institution’s commitment to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and academic leadership.
In the specialty of Pediatrics, the hospital secured 1st rank in Chennai, 6th rank in South India, and 16th rank nationally. In Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGY), the hospital achieved 3rd rank in Chennai and 15th rank in South India. The Nephrology department was ranked 4th in Chennai and 12th in South India, while Urology secured 4th rank in Chennai and 17th rank in South India.

National Webinar on Hyperkalaemia Management Conducted on World HK Day 2026

Department of Nursing Organized National NRP Day 2026

Dr. Nabeel Nazeer Successfully Utilized Arista AH Absorbable Hemostat in High-Risk Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Dr. Nabeel Nazeer, Deputy Head, Department of Minimal Access and General Surgery, became the first surgeon to utilize Arista AH Absorbable Hemostat during a high-risk laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a patient with a significant bleeding tendency. Arista AH, a plant-based absorbable hemostatic powder designed for rapid control of surgical bleeding, proved to be a valuable adjunct in achieving effective hemostasis during the procedure. Fully absorbed by the body within a few days, the innovative technology enhanced surgical safety and demonstrated its potential role in managing complex surgical cases.
Dr. Nabeel Nazeer Delivered Talk on Chronic Obesity as a Metabolic Disorder

Dr. Nabeel Nazeer, Deputy Head, Department of Minimal Access and General Surgery, was invited by the Cipla Obesity Team to deliver a talk on “Chronic Obesity as a Metabolic Disorder.” The session highlighted the long-term health impact of obesity and emphasized the importance of evidence-based management strategies.
Over the past eight months, the Department of Minimal Access and General Surgery has been actively managing obesity and obesity-related conditions using once-weekly injectable therapy containing Tirzepatide. Building on this clinical experience, the department has also been conducting a monthly online academic program for physicians, focusing on contemporary approaches and advancements in obesity management.
