As part of the Infection Control Week initiatives, the infection control team conducted a high-impact hand hygiene program featuring skits, dance performances, and a quiz competition. Rare Cause of Intestinal Obstruction Managed via Emergency Laparoscopy

A 48-year-old woman with acute intestinal obstruction and significantly dilated bowel underwent successful laparoscopic emergency surgery led by Dr. Nabeel Nazeer, Deputy Head, Minimal Access & General Surgery, with support from Dr. Preethi (Anaesthesia) and Dr. Ananya (Imaging).

A rare Cattell–Hunt Type 2 internal hernia through the left broad ligament was identified and treated laparoscopically without conversion to open surgery. The patient is recovering well.
