Early Birds 2025 – Fundraiser for Preterm Babies

Dr. Mehta’s Hospitals successfully organized Early Birds 2025, the 9th edition of its annual World Prematurity Day Fundraiser, on 23rd November 2025 at Vani Mahal, T. Nagar, Chennai. The event aimed to raise awareness about prematurity and support underprivileged families requiring advanced neonatal care.
The theme “Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures” highlighted the hospital’s commitment to improving outcomes for high-risk infants. The evening featured a live musical extravaganza by Timbre Tones with Super Singer fame Mani and Band, creating an engaging platform for advocacy and support.
Premature babies, born as early as 25 weeks or weighing under 500g, often require prolonged NICU care, which can cost Rs. 5–15 lakh—an unaffordable amount for many families. To address this, Dr. Mehta’s Medical Trust has established a dedicated corpus fund, helping 7–8 premature infants each year receive complete treatment.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NICU graduates, families, clinicians, and partners, and successfully raised Rs. 15 lakh to aid neonatal care for underprivileged parents.
