Dr. Priya Kannapan Served as Quiz Master at TNFOG Midyear Aruvi Conference 2025

On 7th December 2025, Dr. Priya Kannapan from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology served as Quiz Master at the TNFOG Midyear Aruvi Conference 2025, held in Dharmapuri.

The quiz session was an engaging academic activity that assessed participants’ knowledge on key topics in obstetrics and gynecology, encouraging interactive learning and academic engagement.

Ms. Palaniyammal Honored and Participated in Panel Discussion at NEOCON 2025

On 12th December 2025, Ms. Palaniyammal from the Department of Nursing was felicitated for her contributions as an Executive Board Member during NEOCON 2025, held at Vizag.

She also successfully completed her one-year tenure as a Central NNF Board Member, contributing to organizational initiatives and professional leadership at the national level.

In addition to this recognition, she participated in a panel discussion titled “What Happens After Discharge: A Continuity of Care Perspective from Neonatologists, Developmental Pediatricians, Nurses, and Parents.” The discussion emphasized the importance of seamless care transitions, family education, and collaborative approaches to ensure optimal outcomes for neonates post-discharge.

Her involvement reflects the hospital’s commitment to leadership in neonatal care and continuity of patient support beyond hospitalization.

Dr. Impana Delivered a Talk on HER2 Testing at Oncopathology Tumor Board Meeting

On 13th December 2025, Dr. Impana from the Department of Laboratory Science delivered an insightful talk on “Significance of HER2 Testing, Interpretation, and Reporting in Solid Tumors” during the Clinical Practical Guidelines – Oncopathology Tumor Board Meeting, held at Holiday Inn Hotel.

The session emphasized the critical role of accurate HER2 testing in guiding targeted therapy for solid tumors, covering best practices in interpretation and standardized reporting. Dr. Impana’s presentation provided valuable updates for oncologists and pathologists, reinforcing evidence-based practices in oncological diagnostics.

Dr. Priya Kannapan at Yuva OGSSICON 2025 – Quiz Master and Chairperson

On 14th December 2025, Dr. Priya Kannapan from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology played two key academic roles at the Yuva OGSSICON Conference, held at MMA Hall, Chennai:

  • Quiz Master for an engaging academic quiz session that tested participants’ knowledge in obstetrics and gynecology, fostering interactive learning and professional growth.
  • Chairperson for a talk on “POCSO and MTP Act”, addressing critical legal and ethical aspects in clinical practice, highlighting compliance requirements and patient safety considerations.

Her active involvement reflects her commitment to education, leadership, and advancing standards in women’s health care.

Dr. Prabhakar D at Himcardiocon 2025

We are proud to share that Dr. Prabhakar D was invited as a distinguished faculty at Himcardiocon 2025, held in the serene and picturesque town of Dharamshala from 19th to 21st December 2025.

During the conference, Dr. Prabhakar delivered two insightful talks, contributing his expertise to advance discussions in cardiology. His sessions were well-received by peers and participants, contributing meaningfully to the scientific program.

The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange amidst the tranquil backdrop of the Himalayas, offering a valuable learning experience for attendees.

Diabetes Module CNE for Senior Nurses

A Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) session on Diabetes Management was successfully conducted on 19th December 2025, exclusively for senior nurses. The program was led by Dr. Shanmugaraj T.K., Senior Consultant – Internal Medicine & Diabetology, who shared updated insights on diabetes care protocols, patient education, and complication prevention.

CAHO Basic CPHIC Certificate Program Successfully Conducted

The CAHO Basic CPHIC Certificate Program was held on 20th December 2025, with participation from 60 delegates. The program focused on strengthening infection control practices and enhancing patient safety standards in healthcare settings.

Dr. Premkumar Served as Panelist on Regional Anesthesia Complications

On 20th December 2025, Dr. Premkumar from the Department of Anesthesiology participated as a panelist in a discussion on “Complications of Ultrasound-Guided Upper Limb Regional Anesthesia” at Preethi Hospital, Madurai.

The session focused on identifying potential risks, preventive strategies, and best practices for managing complications during ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. Dr. Premkumar’s contribution provided valuable insights for strengthening patient safety and procedural outcomes in anesthesia practice.

Dr. Priya Kannapan Delivered a Talk on Follicular Cohort Optimization at TAPISAR

On 21st December 2025, Dr. Priya Kannapan from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology delivered an insightful talk titled “Effectuate the Right Follicular Cohort – Luteal Estradiol vs Oral Antagonist” at TAPISAR.

Her session focused on advanced strategies in controlled ovarian stimulation, comparing luteal estradiol and oral antagonist protocols to optimize follicular development. The discussion provided practical guidance for improving outcomes in assisted reproductive techniques and emphasized evidence-based strategies for individualized patient management.

Dr. Nabeel Nazeer and Team Successfully Managed Two Complex Gallbladder Surgeries Using Minimally Invasive Techniques

The Department of Minimal Access and General Surgery, led by Dr. Nabeel Nazeer, Deputy Head, successfully managed two complex gallbladder cases through advanced laparoscopic techniques.

  • Case 1: A patient with acute calculous cholecystitis presented with an exceptionally high stone burden. During surgery, a total of 137 gallstones were removed, presenting a rare and complex surgical scenario handled with precision and without complications.
  • Case 2: Another patient had a large solitary gallstone measuring approximately 5 cm, impacted within the gallbladder. The procedure was completed successfully using a minimally invasive approach.

These cases highlight the team’s expertise in managing complex gallstone disease, showcasing advanced surgical skills, meticulous intraoperative decision-making, and commitment to patient safety.

Completion of Nursing Internship Training – Honoring Top Performers

For the first time at the hospital, nursing internship training was successfully completed by students from Shenbaga Nursing College. This milestone program provided hands-on clinical exposure and advanced learning opportunities, strengthening the foundation for future nursing professionals.

As part of the closing ceremony, the Top 5 Best Interns were honored for their exceptional performance, dedication, and commitment to patient care. This recognition reflects the hospital’s focus on nurturing talent and promoting excellence in nursing practice.

Dr. Bhanu as Panelist at Epilepsy Conclave

The session focused on the link between Type 1 Diabetes and associated autoimmune conditions, emphasizing early diagnosis, clinical management, and preventive strategies. His presentation offered practical guidance for pediatric endocrinologists and healthcare professionals managing complex endocrine conditions.
