Awards and Achievements:
· Established a dedicated Pediatrics department in Jeyasekaran Trust Hospital, Nagercoil in 1996.
· Founder member of Indian Association of Pediatrics, Kanyakumari Chapter, established in 1997.
· Selected for the first batch of Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship training started by Government of India in 2001.
· Established dedicated Pediatric Cardiology Department in G.Kuppusamy Naidu Memorial Hospital, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu in 2006.
· Introduced hands on teaching sessions in ‘cardiac morphology’ at Frontier Lifeline Hospital in 2007.
· Was part of the team that developed ‘Adult congenital heart disease’ services at Frontier Lifeline Hospital in 2008.
· Gained experience in Quality control and analysis by being an internal auditor for NABH accreditation at Frontier Lifeline Hospital, Chennai.
· Conducted study on ‘Quality of Life perceptions’ in adults with congenital heart diseases in 2010 following which psycho –social support could be incorporated in the routine adult care plan.
· Introduced ‘Palliative Care’ concept in the day-to-day care of cardiac patients at Frontier Lifeline Hospital, 2011 after obtaining certification in Palliative care course.
· Expertise in doing advanced Fetal cardiac imaging, antenatal counselling and training pediatric cardiologists and sonologists in fetal cardiac imaging
